Versatile light sources - practical and decorative at the same time

Good light is vital. Artificial light ensures a sense of well-being within your own four walls. If you furnish a room with poor lighting, you will never really feel comfortable within your own four walls. This is because a lamp fulfils several tasks in a living space. Its most obvious task is to provide light so that you are not sitting in the dark in the evening and on gloomy days. Then the lamp simply helps you find your way around the room. When reading, working or practising many hobbies, a good light source is essential to relieve strain on the eyes. The lamp also has an effect on the atmosphere in the home. The right lighting is essential so that you can relax on the sofa at home after work. It's not just a question of whether the lamp is switched on or off. Light that is too bright can have just as negative an effect on your mood as a lamp that shines directly into your face. A lamp that is set too dark also has a negative effect on mood. This is why light therapy is even used in countries with a lot of darkness during the winter months. With a handful of cleverly selected lamps, you can also organise a room and create exciting light zones.

Decorative designer lamps

Even when switched off, our models are eye-catching thanks to their sophisticated design. A pretty ceiling lamp or an unusual floor lamp enriches the room as a decorative element that emphasises your living style.

Extensive range of ceiling lamps, wall lamps and table lamps

The advantage of a ceiling lamp is that it illuminates the whole room. As it is mounted well above the head, there is no risk of glare. Another advantage: the ceiling light hardly casts any shadows. However, this also means that it is out of sight and plays a subordinate role as a design element. If you don't want to think too much about the lighting, one unobtrusive ceiling light per room is sufficient.

You can make a statement with an extravagant pendant light with a golden, silver or even rose gold lustre or matt finish. A retro-style ceiling light is a skilful break in style in an otherwise ultra-modern living room. Desk lamps with a wooden base - often made from a single piece - create a cosy country-house style. Desk lamps and office lamps with a futuristic and minimalist design are particularly effective in the home office - and don't take up much space on the desk.

Our extensive selection of lamps includes floor lamps, ceiling lamps, office lamps, wall lamps and table lamps for every need. When it comes to lamp material, you can choose from shiny chrome to walnut to suit your interior. A matt finish is currently very popular.

What's in favour of which lamp?

Which lamp is suitable for which room?

Ceiling lamps are suitable for general lighting in almost all rooms. Additional lighting accents can be created with a different light source depending on the room.

The pendant lamp illuminates a specific area of the room. As most models hang deep into the room, they should only be used where there is no risk of collision, i.e. preferably above the dining table or coffee table. The hanging lamp usually has certain dimensions, which is why it is ideal as an eye-catcher. In high rooms and houses with an open loft, the placement of a hanging lamp is of course more flexible and makes optimum use of the room height.

Lamps for the dining room: hanging lamp and ceiling lamp

In most households, a hanging lamp mounted in the centre above the dining table provides the lighting for dining. Many models can be individually adjusted in height. It is important that the lamp does not block the view of the person sitting opposite. From a purist bar lamp or pendant light to a lavishly decorated hanging lamp, many different options are available. It is worth designing the table decoration in the style of the lamp. This creates harmony and creates a relaxed atmosphere. However, a dining table has different uses and therefore places different demands on a lamp. For a tête-à-tête, you want more subdued lighting than for filling in your tax return. So why not choose a hanging lamp with built-in dimming technology?

Lamps for the bedroom: hanging lamp and bedside lamp

A hanging lamp with a fabric shade is a good choice for the bedroom. The shade ensures that the light is cosily dimmed. A bedside lamp is useful for reading in the evening. The locally operated lamp on the bedside table is also popular because you don't have to struggle out of bed again after reading to switch off the light. A low floor lamp can be used to set specific accents in the bedroom, while a multi-coloured floor lamp creates harmony and romance. However, putting together an outfit early in the morning in dim light is a challenge. A ceiling light whose beam of light can be aimed specifically at the wardrobe makes it easier for you to choose an outfit. Tip: In our wardrobe range, you will also find wardrobes with interior lighting that are also equipped with large interior mirrors. Standing mirrors are also suitable for checking outfits - and make the room look even bigger.

Lamps for the living room: ceiling light and floor lamp

To ensure that the entire living room receives sufficient light, an all-round ceiling light is recommended. However, a combination of a floor lamp plus a wall lamp can also be used to illuminate different zones. A floor lamp placed in the corner of the room is a great way to create atmosphere in the living room. There are many dimmable models and those with a light colour that creates a cosy atmosphere.
