Modern kitchens for comfortable exclusivity

Luxury and functionality in your home

Luxury and functionality in your home

Modern kitchens have a clean, timeless look. The combination of different materials such as wood, glass and stone makes them exciting. User-friendliness is the top priority.

What makes a modern kitchen?

Smooth and clean surfaces

Modern kitchens are often fitted with lacquered fronts, plastic fronts or solid wood fronts.

High-gloss kitchens, which also make small rooms appear larger , have long been on trend. The timeless look creates a high-quality impression. Choose anti-fingerprint coatings to keep it that way.

The counterpart is the matt kitchen, which has a silky appearance. The matt look has only been on the market for a few years and signals a sense of style. Materials such as slate, wood and exposed concrete go well with it. These combinations look more restrained than high-gloss.

Purist and handleless fronts

Handleless kitchens are currently a popular choice. Clean and linear designs create an elegant and understated ambience. These modern kitchens are equipped with practical push-to-open functions and their clear design leaves plenty of scope for colourful and eye-catching accessories.

Golden, black or bronze taps

Gold-coloured, black sinks go particularly well with gold-coloured, same-coloured or bronze-coloured taps. White or black taps are ideal for white sinks. When choosing taps, look for a clean design - playful taps and the like often do not fit into a modern kitchen.

Stone, stainless steel or wooden worktops

Worktops made of natural stone, such as granite or marble, go well with modern kitchens in black, grey, beige or white. The natural grain of these materials makes them unique pieces, which are both robust and resistant to cuts and scratches. Special impregnations prevent stains from forming.

Alternatively, stainless steel worktops are also practical. They are food-safe, heat-resistant, easy to clean and suit modern industrial-style kitchens. A satin or brushed finish creates a different look in each case.

Wooden worktops are among the classics. Wood is a naturally renewable raw material that contributes to a pleasant indoor climate. In addition, wooden worktops are antibacterial and very easy to clean. Walnut, oak, cherry or teak are the favourites here.

Smart technical appliances

In modern kitchens, ovens and microwaves are often installed at eye level, to minimise back strain. The installation of extractor bonnets is on the decline, as there are now modern cookers that are equipped with integrated extractor functions.

How do I design a modern kitchen with an island?

Modern kitchens with kitchen island

Modern kitchen islands are versatile. Work surfaces, practical compartments, integrated tables or built-in hobs with integrated extractors are just a few examples. The trend also provides more cosiness, for example with an integrated counter. The kitchen shape is crucial. Spacious L-shaped kitchens are well suited to the use of an island. However, kitchen islands can also be installed in U-shaped kitchens.

Small modern kitchens

With small kitchens, the focus is on practicality. We also use our expertise to design kitchens in small spaces. Intelligent storage space solutions, light colours, niche and larder units, swivel pull-outs and optimum lighting conditions ensure the best use of space in small modern kitchens.

Colours of modern kitchens: White, black & wood

Black, white or beige

Black or white has been a trend in modern kitchens for some years now. Recently, beige and greige are particularly popular.

The choice of flooring depends on taste. Dark parquet or tiled variants are popular. Dark floors go well with light kitchens and light stone-look floor coverings go well with dark kitchens. The same applies to the trend colours grey or green. A dark floor looks elegant here.

What makes a modern country house kitchen

Modern country-style kitchens

Modern country-style kitchens combine cosiness and modern technology. The nostalgic kitchen fronts create a warm charm. They are characterised by profiled fronts, chimney-like extractor bonnets, playful handles and glass cabinets with glazing bars or decorative glass elements.

Black country house kitchens are currently in demand, and country house kitchens in creamy white are among the classics. The English style is also popular: this is somewhat more rustic in design. Matching wooden furniture and vintage accessories are part of the style.

Which accessories fit into a modern kitchen?

Cosy accessories and efficient lighting solutions

Colourful and eye-catching accessories, for example in geometric shapes, fit into a discreet modern kitchen. The lighting can also be unobtrusive and indirect and emphasise the clean style.

Our modern kitchens are fitted with integrated LEDs. Practical under-cabinet lights provide direct light on the worktop. Ceiling lights that can be dimmed from a smartphone also emphasise the look. We pay attention to a shadow-free lighting concept when planning the room.
