Commissioning of the photovoltaic system at the Main store in Zurich
Our photovoltaic system in Zurich has been supplying clean, green electricity since July 2022. Several hundred modules were installed on the 2,100 square metre roof to supply the building with renewable energy.
The solar power is mainly used for the furniture store. The surplus electricity is fed into the power grid.
The project was realised with the partner Solar Alliance. With an output of 211 kWp, 70% of the electricity supply in Zurich is already climate-neutral.

Electric charging station in Regensdorf
Parking at Schubiger Möbel is also sustainable. With the commissioning of an electric charging station DC in the first half of 2022, you can charge your vehicle conveniently and environmentally friendly at one of the two charging points. Fast and sustainable with electricity from the solar system.
2020
Commissioning of the Regensdorf photovoltaic system
Our photovoltaic system in Regensdorf has been supplying clean, green electricity since December 2020. 1244 PV modules were installed on the 3,600 square metre roof to supply the building with renewable energy.
The electricity consumption of the entire building is 505 MWh / year, the energy yield from the system is 420 MWh / year. We are proud that the Regensdorf branch's electricity supply is now a good 80% climate-neutral.
The construction project for a solar installation is now also starting at our Main store at Glatt - together with our partner Soltastic . With an output of 423 kWp, the electricity supply in Regensdorf is already 80% climate-neutral.

Sustainable disposal of old furniture
If you decide to buy new furniture from us, we will be happy to take care of your old furniture. And in a sustainable way. In cooperation with the Bader recycling centre in Regensdorf, your discarded furniture will be disposed of ecologically.
Because metals, plastics, glass, wood and other materials can be easily recycled - for a cleaner environment tomorrow.
2019
100% organic filling material
We want our products to give you lasting pleasure. Just like their transport. That's why the filling material in your parcel is made from 100% natural raw materials. Composed of air, water and plant starch, it is biodegradable, reusable and antistatic.
2016 - 2018
Conversion to LED lighting
The exhibition lighting in the Main store in Zurich is converted from FL tubes to LED lamps. The electricity saving is 30%.
In the Regensdorf branch, the warehouse is being converted to energy-saving LED lighting.

Thermal insulation of Zurich branch
The building envelope of our main shop in Zurich is being newly insulated, significantly increasing the insulation value.
